Lozol (Indapamide)

HOW TYPE A (HIGH ACHIEVERS) ACHIEVE HEART DISEASE: LEANING THE RIGHT WAY TO BREATHE
Fortunately correct breathing can be re-learned very simply by lying down somewhere flat and placing your left hand on your chest and your right just below the navel.
Breathe as you do normally and note which hand is rising and falling. After a minute or so, as you exhale press down gently with your right hand and then as you inhale again, allow the air to push the right hand upwards. Keep doing this for a while until you feel the site of the new rhythm.
This is the correct way to breathe and it can become a relaxation exercise if the following steps are added: as you breathe out, count to four slowly: then breathe in, also counting to four. Do not hurry and try to keep the breathing pattern smooth. Note any thoughts which may arise as you establish this pattern and instead of worrying about them, just refocus on your breathing…let the thought go. Don’t force it out of your head: just favour the breathing.
Breathing is a very special process in that we can consciously alter it and direct it, or we can completely forget about it and we still breathe automatically. As such it provides a valuable access point to the unconscious part of the brain, where any traumas and emotional experiences may lie which have caused us to respond, like Pavlov’s dogs, to certain patterns of arousal. By re-establishing a relaxed breathing pattern we are actually accessing, influencing and controlling patterns of arousal which normally influence and control us. This is the basis of many anti-stress techniques, such as meditation.
